Card Text[edit | hide | hide all]
Nostrils flare with delight. A pungent, pine scent emanates from the quivering cube. At the start of the settlement phase, if there are 5+ Lumps of Atnas in settlement storage, their scent draws a survivor, sniffing through the darkness. Gain +1 population with a random disorder. Gain this benefit once per settlement phase, regardless of how many Lumps of Atnas are in storage.[1]
Notes[edit | hide]
- The rules for Lump of Atnas were updated in an FAQ entry. The actual card reads: "At the start of the settlement phase, if there are 5 or more Cubes of Atnas in settlement storage, their scent draws a survivor, sniffing thorugh the darkness. Gain +1 population, this survivors has a random disorder". With the rules-as-written, if you had 5+ Lumps of Atnas in settlement storage, each Lump of Atnas would trigger its effect.
- There are two typographical errors on the Lump of Atnas card. The first is that the card refers to itself as Cube of Atnas. The second error is in the statement "this survivors has a random disorder".
- Lump of Atnas was originally a tie-in to the original Kickstarter pitch for Atnas: "In fact, Atnas is so awful the other entities have divided it into pieces and scattered it across Kingdom Death. You are going to have to WORK to put this jerk back together"[2]. When Atnas was released in the Gambler's Chest Expansion this piece of lore seems to have been retconned, with Atnas' Cubed Survivor AI card now referencing Lump of Atnas.
